- Carousel (1956): starring Shirley Jones, Gordon MacRae and Cameron Mitchell. Billy is sent down "from above" for one day to try and make amends for mistakes he made in life. Billy worked at the carnival running the carousel, which is where he met Julie.
- D-Day, the Sixth of June (1956) : starring Robert Taylor and Richard Todd. These two gentlemen pine over the same woman on the way to invade France.
- The Diary of Anne Frank (1959): based on the true story of Jews hiding from the German army in Amsterdam during World War II.
- The Dirty Dozen (1967): This movie, starring Lee Marvin, Charles Bronson, John Cassavetes, and Donald Sutherland, tells the story of condemned soldiers on a suicide mission.
- The Fighting Seabees (1944): Starring John Wayne, it is the story of the fighting construction workers of the Pacific Theater.
- The Flying Leathernecks (1951): John Wayne leads U.S. aviators into the battle of Guadalcanal.
- Flying Tigers (1942): John Wayne leads a group of American pilots fighting for the Chinese before their entry into World War II.
- From Here to Eternity (1953): Starring Burt Lancaster, Montgomery Clift, Deborah Kerr, Donna Reed, and Frank Sinatra. This story is set in Hawaii and tells the story just before the attack on Pearl Harbor.
- The Ghost & Mr. Chicken (1966 ): A typesetter (Don Knotts) for a small town newspaper pursues his dream of becoming a big-time reporter by spending a night in an alleged haunted house

- I Was a Male War Bride (1949): Starring Cary Grant and Ann Sheridan. They are an international couple (he is French and she is American) who must cope with the trials of marriage after she is transferred to the United States.
- The Incredible Mr. Limpet (1964): Starring Don Knotts, Carole Cook and Jack Weston. Milquetoast Henry Limpet experiences his fondest wish and is transformed into a fish. As a talking fish he assists the US Navy in hunting German submarines during World War II.
- In Harm’s Way (1965): Starring John Wayne, Kirk Douglas, and Patricia Neal. The story of a love triangle immediately following Pearl Harbor.
- The Longest Day (1962): This movie tells the story of the Normandy invasion. Stars John Wayne, Richard Burton, Henry Fonda, Robert Mitchum, and Rod Steiger.
- Ma & Pa Kettle at the Fair (1952): Starring Marjorie Main and Percy Kilbride. Ma and Pa are trying to raise enough money at the county fair to send their daughter Rosie to college. Ma competes in baking and Pa enters a trotter in a horse race, while Rosie takes up with handsome young Marvin Johnson.
- Meet Me at the Fair (1953): Starring Dan Dailey, Dianna Lynn, Chet Allen and Scatman Crothers.In 1904, Doc Tilbee, medicine show huckster and champion tall-tale teller, gives a ride to a young boy escaped from an orphanage, where bad conditions (the result of political graft) are being investigated by new appointee Zerelda Wing, who doesn't know that her fiancée is one of the politicians responsible.
- Meet Me In St. Louis (1944): Starring Judy Garland, Margaret O’Brien, and Mary Aster. The well-off Smith family has four beautiful daughters, including Esther and little Tootie. 17-year-old Esther has fallen in love with the boy next door who has just moved in, John. The family is shocked when Mr. Smith reveals that he has been transferred to a new position in New York, which means that the family has to leave St. Louis and the St. Louis Fair.

- Mister Roberts (1955): Starring Jack Lemmon, Henry Fonda, James Cagney, and William Powell. Mister Roberts is aboard a US cargo ship, working in the Pacific during the Second World War. He'd do anything to leave the quiet of the ship to join in the "action." Trouble is, the captain of the ship, is a bit of a tyrant, and isn't willing to sign Roberts' transfer requests.
- The Music Man (1962): Starring Robert Preston, Shirley Jones and Buddy Hackett. A con man comes to a Midwestern town with a scam using a boy's marching band program, but things don't go according to plan.
- My Fair Lady (1964): Starring Audrey Hepburn, Rex Harrison, Stanley Holloway and Wilfrid Hyde-White. Henry Higgins is a Professor of languages and a rather snobbish and arrogant man. A visiting colleague, Colonel Pickering, makes him a bet that he can't take a "commoner" and turn her into someone who would not be completely out of place in the social circles of upper-class English society.
